Once Upon A Mattress Spring 2012
If you thought you knew the story of 'The Princess and The Pea,' you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that, in fact, it wasn't the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar tale of royal courtship and comeuppance from the Rodgers and Hammerstein library of classics provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you'll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again!

Pricing & Reservations Cast List Robert, 19, is extremely grateful to be portraying the part of Minstrel in Once Upon a Mattress. This is Robert’s 4th show with TABS. He was a member of the ensemble in South Pacific, Prof. Alvin Dumbfounded in H.P. and the Deadly Halloween and Sir Robert in TABS’ Madrigal Dinner. Recent shows Robert has been in are Belleville West High School’s production of Beauty and the Beast in which he was Beast and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, in which he was Bell Boy #1. Robert currently attends Southwestern Illinois College with a major in Music Education – Vocal Emphasis and is a Baritone in both the College Choir and Chamber Singers. A couple of Robert’s favorite shows are Beauty and the Beast, The Fantasticks, Rent and Songs for a New World.
