Once Upon A Mattress Spring 2012

If you thought you knew the story of 'The Princess and The Pea,' you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that, in fact, it wasn't the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar tale of royal courtship and comeuppance from the Rodgers and Hammerstein library of classics provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you'll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again!

Nancy E Wegener (Juggler) is so excited to be performing in Once Upon A mattress. She juggled in TABS Madrigal and worked behind the scenes for TABS H.P. and the Deadly Halloween and South Pacific. She can be easily recognized on play night because she always wears her black hat with a red skull on it. Besides her work with TABS Nancy’s only other stage work was backstage for several plays at Belleville West. Including Metamorphoses (prop crew) and Lost in Yonkers (set crew). They were between the years of 2005 and 2006 (she graduated in 2006).
